How do I open a STRIPE EXPRESS account, connected to the SCOTSY Stripe account?

SCOTSY currently uses STRIPE, a reputable, worldwide recognised Card Payment processor. The STRIPE account used is 'Stripe connect', which is designed for marketplaces like the SCOTSY art marketplace. 

You in turn need a 'Stripe Express', STRIPE account, which has a connection to the administrative SCOTSY Stripe payment account.

Below, we explain the steps to opening your Stripe Express connected account:

1. Preferred Payment Method Box - Select 'Stripe' and the Stripe Connect blue button appears.
2. Click the 'Connect with Stripe' blue button either on the Payment section of the Quick Store Setup or the main Dashboard settings, payment section.
3. You are taken to the SCOTSY STRIPE connection page and your email address will automatically be entered in the email box.
4. Press continue.
5. Enter your mobile number without the leading zero
   e.g. +44  7874xxxxxx.
6. A verification code is sent to your phone in a text - a 6 digit number.
7. Retrieve the code and enter it onto the web page where indicated.
8. Next: Tell us about your business
   Country (United Kingdom)
   Type of business (individual/sole trader)
   Continue.....
9. Verify your personal details
   Complete the form
   Continue.....
10. Professional details
    Industry: Select 'Retail' + the down arrow to expand the list. Then 'Other merchandise'.
    Your website: 'Artist store address' should be preselected
    Continue.....
11. Select an Account for payouts
    {Your business bank account}
    Enter the Sort Code & Account number. Latter is an 8-digit number (excluding digits 9 & 10 zeros if they are present)
    Click Save
12. Let's review your details
    Check your details - click on the pencil icon to edit, if required.
    Click Agree & Submit
13. Your Stripe account is opened and you are taken back to the Stripe Connect page
    Payment now shows a ' Disconnect Stripe Account' button.
14. You will receive an email from Stripe:
    "You are ready to get paid by SCOTSY. Confirm your email".
15. Click the blue 'confirm your email button' to be taken to your Stripe Express account pages.
