Mandatory Steps prior to adding an Art product


Mandatory Step 1 - Open a STRIPE EXPRESS account that is connected to the SCOTSY STRIPE account.


If not previously connected, you must open a Stripe Express account through the SCOTSY Account Dashboard:

If you don't have STRIPE connected you will not be able to add your first product.
This is a SCOTSY safeguard to ensure no products are added without a payment method.



Mandatory Step 2 - Identity Verification


Method 1: Go to Dashboard Settings > Verification (Verifications button can be accessed on any Settings page: Store, Location, Payment, Shipping etc.



Method 2: Click on the Profile Avatar on any page to be taken to the Profile Manager page. Click on the Verification  button - see below

The above steps, both open the Verification Settings window. Complete the details (more info below).





What is ID Verification? (Notably, This is a Compulsory step before adding an Artwork product)


  • 'Verification' is the process of verifying you. Notably, your name and address details, and is a security requirement.
  • This is a compulsory step, which must be completed before you can add any art products.
  • We recommend this step is completed when your application is first approved. 
  • The process involves you submitting the requested 'Identity Verification' by uploading images from your computer.
  • Click the black UPLOAD button on the verification section, and select the file on your device. Click on open to add to your account, and 
  • enable admin to check it and Approve or Reject your ID.


NOTE: Only one of the Identity Verification options is normally required, unless we think we need additional info on request.
