Order Cancellations - Artist Cancellation procedure

Customers can cancel an order in three ways:

  1. Requesting cancellation by emailing you using your email address on your Artist Store Page.
  2. Using the "Inquiry" button on your Artist Store Page.
  3. Using the "Enquiry/Ask the Artist" button on the Product Page.

Action by You: You need to reply to the Artist with your intentions on what you intend to do. This is as follows in accordance with A or B  below:

A. The Order has not yet been dispatched:

If the item is not yet dispatched, it is only a matter of refunding the customer's payment and of course not sending the artwork.

In order to refund, put in a request for a refund through SCOTSY admin by following the Refund Procedure:

Refund for Orders Placed

Alternatively, you can ask the customer to claim a refund directly with admin and refer them to this page: https://scotsy.com/art-buyer-refunds/

Refer also to page links For Buyers on any web page footer menu:

  • Buyer refunds and
  • Order Cancellations

B. The order has been dispatched:

If you have dispatched the order, the customer is required to notify you they are returning it. The notification has to be within 14 days of receipt. You are responsible for the return postage if there has been an error or there is something wrong with the item.

Notably, the customer needs to send you proof of postage in order for you to implement the next stage. This is requesting SCOTSY Admin to action the refund:

Admin - Changing the Order Status

SCOTSY Admin will action the refund and update the Order Status to Cancelled or Refunded, whatever applies. The Scotsy website will issue emails to all.
