SEO considerations.
Your chosen keyword/keyword phrase is very important for your Search Engine Optimisation or SEO.
In the example image above, we have decided on "Scottish photography" as the relevant primary keyword together with Edinburgh photography and Midlothian photography as secondary keywords.
Your primary keyword needs to be included in the SEO terms for good SEO with Google, as follows:
SEO Title, Meta Description and Meta Keyword boxes.
SEO Title:
This should be a maximum of 75 characters and contain your main keyword plus secondary keywords if possible.
As an example, in the image above we have:
"Scottish Photography by David Anderson, Edinburgh, Midlothian".
where Scottish photography is the main keyword as per above.
Meta Description:
The meta description is often chosen as the text under the title in a search result. For this, to work it has to contain the keyword that was searched for and should be less than 156 characters.
In the image above we have:
"Scottish photography, including landscapes, buildings, and Edinburgh cityscapes. Also, Midlothian woodlands. Available as Scottish photographic prints".
Note it starts with 'Scottish photography' our primary keyword but also contains the secondary keywords.
Meta Keywords:
In this box we have entered three keywords/keyphrases as follows:
"Scottish photography, Edinburgh photography, Midlothian photography.
