About announcements

From time to time SCOTSY Admin sends out announcements about the SCOTSY marketplace account, like updates to software, changes to procedures, etc. These are recorded in your dashboard.

Notably, you as an Artist, will receive an 'Announcement Notification' email to advise, you have received a new announcement with a link to view the announcement in your dashboard. (You may need to login to your dashboard unless already logged in).

The announcement icon is a loudspeaker, as shown in the above image. The number of announcement topics received is indicated by the blue circle number. Each time a new announcement is received it increases by one.

Click on the icon to view your announcement. You will be taken to the topics screen:

To view the Announcement details, select either the announcement topic heading in the red text or the eye symbol in the right-hand column.

You will be presented with the details and copy of all replies that have been sent by admin and other artists.

You will also have access to a reply form, that you can use to communicate any reply. Please note, that your reply will be sent to Admin and to all other Artists:

As the Artist, your reply can be formatted text with headings, links, images, etc. and will be made available to Admin and all other SCOTSY Artists directly.

The Announcement replies that you receive will be listed above the 'New Reply' headed form with the oldest at the top and the newest directly above the reply box.

Admin has additional notifications functionality as follows:

• Only Admin can issue a new announcement.
  
• Admin can 'Archive' announcements that are no longer relevant, in which case it will be retained by admin but no longer available to Artists
• Admin can also permanently delete announcements.
